Privacy Policy

The Kyoto International Friends Committee (hereinafter referred to as "our committee") has established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as "this service").

 

Article 1 (Personal Information)

Article 5 (Provision of personal information to third parties)
The Association will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases, except as permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
When the person requests disclosure of personal information, the Association will disclose it to the person without delay. However, if disclosure would fall under any of the following, the Association may not disclose all or part of the information, and if it decides not to disclose the information, the Association will notify the person without delay. A fee of 1,000 yen will be charged for each disclosure of personal information.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
If the user's personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the user may request the Company to correct, add or delete the personal information (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc.") in accordance with the procedures set forth by the Company.
If the Company receives a request from a user as described in the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, the Company shall correct the personal information without delay.
When the Company makes corrections, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when it decides not to make corrections, etc., it will notify the user without delay.

 

Article 8 (Suspension of use of personal information, etc.)
If the person requests the suspension of use or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") of personal information because that information is being handled beyond the scope of the intended purpose or has been obtained by illegal means, the Association will conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
If we determine that it is necessary to comply with the request based on the results of the investigation under the preceding paragraph, we will suspend the use of the personal information without delay.
When the Company suspends use based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when the Company decides not to suspend use, the Company will notify the user without delay.
Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if the suspension of use, etc. would involve a significant amount of expenses or is otherwise difficult to implement, and alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the User can be taken, such alternative measures will be taken.

 

Article 9 (Changes to Privacy Policy)
The contents of this policy may be changed without notifying users, except for matters otherwise specified by laws, regulations, or otherwise in this policy.
Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy will take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
